Here’s how we guarantee quality and freshness:

We begin by using only 100 percent Arabica coffee beans, which are universally considered the world’s finest. We also sample or "cup" coffee from every bag of beans we purchase. By roasting our coffee in small batches, and by cupping again, we further ensure consistency of quality from batch to batch. Finally, our coffee has no time to lose precious flavor.

When you place your order, we roast, grind, pack and ship your coffee that day. That means with every order you get the same premium product and your coffee measures up to our highest standards for freshness and taste. By comparison, food service coffees are roasted and ground by the hundreds of pounds, packed elsewhere, then stored in a warehouse to be distributed over a period of time.
